Tantshoyz (Yiddish Dance Party)
To close out Klezmer on Ice weekend, put on your dancing shoes and join us for an evening of Yiddish dance and live music from Di Bayke Klezmer Band and Ilya Shneyveys (Latvia/NYC). We’ll start the night with a shareback from our workshop participants, dance freylekhs, bulgars, shers, and more, and close the evening with one final klezmer jam! All are welcome. Our amazing dance leads will demonstrate the steps - no partner or experience is needed. Although if you’d like to truly shine on the dance floor, come to our Yiddish Dance workshop series.
Accessibility note: Open dance floor with seating available along the sides. ADA-accessible venue (enter on 38th St). Parking is available on the street and the Lake Country School lot on Pleasant Ave.
There will be a place to store instruments for the klezmer jam.
