Hershel and the Hanukkah Goblins is an original, family-friendly, contemporary and Yiddish dance adaptation of the classic children's book by Eric Kimmel and Trina Schart Hyman, choreographed and directed by Hannah MacKenzie-Margulies.
In the story, a wandering trickster named Hershel saves a village in Ukraine from a pack of goblins who have taken over their synagogue and are preventing them from celebrating the holiday of Hanukkah.
Featuring a multi-generational cast and live music by Minnesota klezmorim Josh Rosard, Rebecca Mac, and Sam Weisberg.
